Finding something to eat in Sagada is a walk in the park. There are karinderyas and restaurants that will definitely satisfy your craving. What I like about Sagada is the absence of commercial fast food restaurants. Locals would have the opportunity to put up food business, which is a good source of income. It's also a great way to showcase Sagada's culinary heritage.
There's wide variety of savory and sweet dishes available in Sagada which you will surely enjoy. Below are the restaurants we tried during our stay.
MASFERRE COUNTRY INN AND RESTAURANT
My favorite restaurant in Sagada so far. They offer continental and filipino dishes. We certainly love their (power) breakfast set with refillable coffee! Feels like I am eating in a hotelπ The restaurant's ambiance is very relaxing too. They have nice and clean comfort room/toilet. Well maintained.
I also love the vintage photograph displays in Masferre. It's like a filipino history timeline. And who took the amazing photos? The Father of Philippine Photography Eduardo Masferre.
We really a had a sumptuous breakfast at Masferre. We're glad that this restaurant is very accessible because it's just few steps away from Sagada Tourism office.
You may also wish to book them for your stay through Masferre Inn and Restaurant.
SALT AND PEPER
We had our first lunch there. We craved for something that has sabaw, thus we ordered sinigang sa baboy. With rice, of course! We were the only customers in Salt and Pepper at that time, and we thought, "Shucks, baka di masarap." But, of course we're wrong.
The sinigang's serving was huge. It can serve up to 4 persons depending on your appetite. Yes, the sinigang was super delicious like my mum's π
The house blend iced tea below was a sure hit. The glass was tall and the iced tea was of course very concentrated. I loved it.
GAIA CAFE AND CRAFTS
The sandwich we ordered can serve two persons. Very light and full of ingredients. Hindi tinipid. But the bombshell of Gaia is the brewed coffee served with mascobado and cashew milk. Sobrang sarap.
KIMCHI BAR (FORMERLY RAMGYUN)
YOGHURT HOUSE
GAIA CAFE AND CRAFTS
Those who watched the film "That Thing Called Tadhana" certainly knows Gaia Cafe. Some scenes were filmed at this cute restaurant. We ate our snacks here after our Lumiang and Sumaging caving activity. This is just 5 minutes away (by van) from the famous caves.
Gaia's surrounding view is completely nature. It's very refreshing and peaceful. No wonder they chose this quaint area for the film. Sobrang sarap mag-emote. π

A Bob Marley inspired tiny restaurant located at central Sagada. The food was surprisingly delicious and totally tasted Korean (this is because the owner used to work in Korea and Japan as a chef). We ordered their version of samgyupsal and I am impressed I must say.
This low ceiling eat spot can only accommodate roughly 20 people. But, it's such a perfect venue to chill and spend a few bottles of beer and sticks of cigs. Yes! Smoking is allowed π

YOGHURT HOUSE
Well, my husband is right. The yogurt they serve here is not the ordinary yogurt you can buy in grocery store. It's homemade, and yes it's maasim (sour). I like the contrast of sour kick and sweet topping flavor. I just didn't finish the whole thing because it's pretty huge for me.
Yoghurt House also serves tasty dishes that you can enjoy. We ate here after our Bomod-Oks Falls trail. Serving was very generous.
ROCK INN
A cozy restaurant that it is roughly 10-15 minutes away from Kiltepan Peak. We ate our sumptuous breakfast here after visiting Kiltepan. The also serve free oranges. Food was good, but serving was kind of small portion.
I am including Lucky Shanghai Food Haz in our list. They serve classic pinoy dishes which are truly affordable. We loved our pork binagoongan to the point that we ordered extra rice π We also tried Lemon Pie, but unfortunately they run out of stock.
By the way, all of the above eateries/restaurants are walkable from our accommodation Shamrock Hotel except Rock Inn. You can find them in central Sagada where accommodations and tourism office is located at. So, give them at try when you visit Sagada. You wouldn't regret it π
